Northstar Ju Jitsu is a unique set of self-defence programs for children and adults that integrates traditional elements of ju jitsu, taekwondo, judo and kick boxing. Each program can be taught separately. You can run just adults or kids classes in any combination.
The Little Stars program is especially developed for 3-4 year old children and focuses on all the things they need to grow physically, mentally and socially. Your child will be learning a combination of punches, kicks and self-defence moves developed from Taekwondo, kickboxing, Judo and Ju Jitsu.
The Bright Stars program has been especially developed for 5 to 8 year olds as they confront wider social and physical situations in life. Your child will be learning a combination of punches, kicks and self-defence moves developed from Taekwondo, kickboxing, Judo and Ju Jitsu.
The Super Stars program has been especially developed for 9 to 12 year olds as they move into adolescence. Strong leaders enhance the development of strong values. In the Super Stars program we work with children to overcome difficulties that may foster negative behaviour that is sometimes a factor in teenage years.
The Allstars program is tailored for 12-14 year olds that are developing into strong adolescents that need a more robust level of training. Mentoring by our role models is focused on development of leadership, control of their skills, awareness of themselves and the people around them. Allstars is a bridge to achieving a Junior Black Belt and/or a transitioning into our adults program.
The Adults Program immortalises the spirit of the ancient samurai in modern society. The program is a newer, evolved approach to martial arts and life relevant to our society and culture. Northstar Ju Jitsu teaches immediate and practical fighting skills that can be learned, assimilated and used quickly. Simple defensive combinations are taught in all ranges of fighting. These include distant fighting with long range kicks and punches, in close fighting with knees, elbows and standing grappling and control on the ground.
